Kia ora koutou. Sorry I haven’t blogged but have had a few technical issues so struggling to put up photos. Hopefully Mrs Henare can help.
So I spent a few nights in Laie, Hawaii. Laie is about an hour from Honolulu. I stayed with an old friend and was lucky to have a private beach just behind her house. It was beautiful and very cool to be able to swim so close to where we stayed with hardly anyone on the beach.
Well done to those people who guessed Daimond Head as the place I most wanted to visit on this trip. We did climb to the top to see the beautiful views down to Waikiki the most popular tourist area and beach.
We did go into Waikiki after our walk. It is full of hotels, shops, cars and concrete! Not like Laie. I have got a few shirts for the most interesting facts on Daimond Head.

That the Volcano has a lot of building buy it
ReplyDeleteso amazing miss ross i hope you have a great time there
ReplyDeleteKia ora Miss Ross. Woah Hawaii looks like paradise! Here is a fact about Diamond Heads. The local name for Diamond Heads is actually called Le'Ahi which means "brow of the tuna fish" The Hawaiian legend is that a woman named Hi'iaka gave it the name because from a distance the crater looks like the back and fin of a tuna fish.
