New York, New York!!!!

Had a fantastic two night whirlwind visit to New York. Stayed in the city and was out exploring from early morning to late at night. Landmarks we visited were the Statue of Liberty, Grand Station, 9/11 Memorial, Central Park, the Empire State Building, Wall Street and Whaea Cara had asked me to drop into the Cake Boss' cafe which was just down the road from where we stayed. Hope you're enjoying your holidays and doing some fun things . PS the weather here is beautiful and hot.

Waikiki

Kia ora koutou. Sorry I haven’t blogged but have had a few technical issues so struggling to put up photos. Hopefully Mrs Henare can help.

So I spent a few nights in Laie, Hawaii. Laie is about an hour from Honolulu. I stayed with an old friend and was lucky to have a private beach just behind her house. It was beautiful and very cool to be able to swim so close to where we stayed with hardly anyone on the beach.

Well done to those people who guessed Daimond Head as the place I most wanted to visit on this trip.  We did climb to the top to see the beautiful views down to Waikiki the most popular tourist area and beach.

We did go into Waikiki after our walk. It is full of hotels, shops, cars and concrete! Not like Laie. I have got a few shirts for the most interesting facts on Daimond Head.

New York City

I left Hawaii for New York City on Wednesday. Our flight was almost 10 hours...longer than it took to get from Auckland to Hawaii!!!

New York is amazing. Lots of people and traffic. We are staying right in the city and I’m enjoying the hustle and bustle.

Have so far hung around Times Square, wandered through Central Park and seen the stage show Chicago on Broadway. What have you guys done so far with your holidays?
